This package includes static library and header files for smtpguard. . smtpguard is a point based monitoring system built to protect your incoming mail servers from spammers. Developed with ISP's in mind, smtpguard links directly into the smtp server and stores data in a local db (Berkeley db 4.3). For each RCPT TO: in a given session, the rule file is parsed and points tallied. Based on points (or specific attributes of the session) multiple actions can be taken. These include: rejecting mail, logging, sending an alert message, and so on. |
